weekend madness!!

well what was to be a quiet weekend turned into an extremely busy one!!

i was asked to have a stall at an evening event in aid of raising funds for Cossington village church. It was a cookery demonstration evening and i was the only stall!!

My candles were a huge success with my citronella lemon pie's being the most popular!! I got home at 10pm and had to start making more candles as i had a last minute stall booked at Seagrave Village Fete as i was visiting a friend in Stratford on Saturday.

On Saturday me and my youngest son had a lovely day out in stratford, watching the boat races, eating icecream and playing with my friends 12 week old black Lab.

Sunday was a fantastic day at Seagrave Village Fete, i met some wonderful fellow crafters, Beccy boo from tickityboo jewellery (i have arranged a jewellery party as i was so taken by her lovely sparkly jewellery), Jane from Just Soaps truly lovely smelling soaps, and toiletries, and i have to say i did treat myself to a lovely draught excluder and 2 fridge magnets made by tickly spider who i'm sure i will be buying more lovely things to decorate my house with!

Again i had a successful day of sales, my strawberry and cream muffin candle was the most popular of the day, and i have to say my favourite at the moment. i was also asked to attend another couple of events later in the year, apparently there are not many of us candle makers in the leicester area!

i have ordered some new supplies and i'm looking forward to receiving them and getting creative...

i have a free weekend this weekend as its my sons third birthday so i'm enjoying some family time, although i'm sure a trip to the car boot will be in order......

Hickling Country fair....

it was a beautiful Sunday, glorious sunshine all day. This was my first village fete and i loved it, it was fantastic meeting new people who also love being creative. There were some really beautiful handcrafted items for sale in the craft marque. I had an excellent spot with great views over the main entertainment area. One of the stalls was selling the most lovely chocolate items, a lady called Christine makes all these beautiful unusual chocolates, her company is called choklet and i had to buy!!

I had a good day of sales with such positive comments from all the public i think the most common comments were"ooohh they look good enough to eat" and "oohh arnt they lovely". i think most of the children thought i was selling really cakes and they were quite disappointed when they realised that they were candles!!

i have had another busy week as i have been asked to do an event in Cossington on Friday evening and i have also been busy looking for further fetes and events leading up to Christmas. I think the next few months are going to be very busy for me...

My first Stall

well Saturday the 6th of June rained for most of the day, but there was still an excellent turn out at my sons school fete. I was really pleased with all the positive comments on my products and of course the sales!!

It really was lovely to get positive feedback from the public about my hardwork it has spured me on to be more creative and sucessful in what i love doing.

what was also lovely is that i have been asked to do 3 more events over the next coming months from contacts made at that event.

This Sunday i'm at Hickling country fair and i'm really excited about presenting my stall again.

I have been busy all week restocking supplies and adding a few new designs to the range!!!
